Join us for a 1-h panel discussion and experience sharing session featuring Stephen Leach - Diversity & Inclusion Director/The Multicultural Audience Engagement Team at the Walt Disney Studios.
Stephen will share more about his professional journey and his personal story on how he managed to make a great career move in the middle of global pandemic and while on furlough. You’ll have a chance to participate in a Q&A session after the panel discussion.
The session will be co-animated by Beata Casagrande.

About our speakers :

Stephen Leach joined the Multicultural Audience Engagement Team at The Walt Disney Studios in September 2020. The Multicultural Audience Engagement Team helps cultivate creative talent, supports diverse storytelling, conducts outreach and market research, and creates strategies that drive multicultural consumer acquisition and engagement for The Walt Disney Studios’ businesses. Stephen is responsible for partnering with leadership across lines of business and global markets, providing subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices and enhancing the Disney brand both inside and outside the company. Stephen acts as a strategic consultant to business leaders and HR partners focused on attracting, retaining, and developing talent that reflects Disney’s audiences and promoting an inclusive environment where all employees at all levels can perform their best.
Before joining Disney, Stephen was a member of the Workforce Engagement and Global Diversity and Inclusion team and served as the Senior Director, Diversity + Inclusion Strategies at Marriott International. In this role, he provided knowledge, skill, and consultative leadership to ensure that Marriott’s D+I efforts and strategies were innovative and provided solutions to drive associate engagement. Prior to Marriott International, Stephen spent 8 years in the Diversity/Corporate Social Responsibility space as the Manager for Community Relations and the Manager for Workforce Diversity and Inclusion at Nestle USA where he led the development and implementation of D&I strategies, programs, trainings, strategic alliances, and community relations for the world’s largest food and beverage company.
Stephen received his B.A. in psychology from Wake Forest University and certificates from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, The Executive Leadership Council, and the Leadership Center for Excellence in Arlington, VA.
Stephen resides in Northern Virginia with his wife Danielle and their oldest son Steph and twin sons, Jackson and Carter.

Beata Casagrande has 7+ years of professional experience in Corporate Recruiting and HR Management. She graduated with master’s degrees in both International Business and Multinational HR Management in Paris. After graduation, Beata worked in the HR/Talent Management departments at Airbus, Faurecia and Primark. Her last role in France was at Hays in Nantes, where she oversaw recruiting activities for major industry/engineering clients.
Beata relocated to the Washington DC region in September 2017. Since then, she joined Nestle USA where she worked for the last 3 years as a Recruiter/Talent Sourcing Specialist. In August 2020, Beata was promoted to a new role as a Recruiting Events Project Manager. She is currently in charge of building a global recruiting event strategy for Nestle across the USA that will help deliver top diverse talent to the business before they know they need it. She loves foreign languages and exchanging about topics such as cultural differences, talent management, international mobility and expatriation.
